Chicken Chat – Playing in the Compost
The girls don’t get let out quite as often as they used to. We all like it better now when I am there to supervise. When I do open the run door they make a bee line for the compost and the big rhododendron it sits next to which they feel safe near for cover. They love shredding through the leaves and finding special chicken treasures.

Betty was shy, she’s still molting around her head and neck. She looks quite the sight.
I've joined the Tilly's Nest: Down Home Blog Hop :)
I love the pictures. I can just see them. I especially like the 'look' picture. Thanks for sharing. Poor biddies wouldn't like it here, as they would have to scratch through 6 inches of snow.
ReplyDeleteI love snow :) The two younger girls haven't experienced a good snow yet, Betty is not a fan.
DeleteMine are hiding beside the dog carrier we put in their run. They hate the wind. Spoiled babies.
ReplyDeleteWe have a wind block in one corner of the run. I frequently find them there on breezy days huddled together :)
DeleteVery cute! Come visit when you have a chance, we're giving away a really neat chicken feeder this week.
